Grethell Rasua is a Cuban artist interested in assuming art as a model of personal, social and cultural understanding.  In general, she works with the reformulation of judgments of aesthetic, ethical and economic values: the sociocultural understanding of what is good or bad, what is societally acceptable or not, how to perceive the beauty or ugliness of things. Her artworks have, either by appearance or content, a combination of the beauty and its opposite.  Grethell experiences various means of expression and documentation, such as performance, objects, photography, video, drawings and overall installations to file stories and/or aesthetic points of view, all evidence of human activity in the context of where she lives.
